Can I run a clock on my desktop?
By admin | March 25, 2008
I get asked this question all the time, so I thought I’d answer the question here for everyone to see. Windows 2000 and XP users, you’re in luck! You can run any of my clocks directly on your desktops. Unfortunately, older Windows operating systems and the new Vista OS won’t allow the clocks to run. Mac users, currently you’re not able to run the clocks on your desktops either. I was hoping the newest OS, Leopard, would allow the clocks to run, but I don’t believe it does. Maybe a Mac user can officially confirm this for me? Windows 2000 and XP users, follow the directions below to install a clock on your desktop. Enjoy!
1. Right-click the desktop, select ‘Properties’
2. Select the ‘Desktop’ tab
3. Select the ‘Customize Desktop’ button
4. Select the ‘Web’ tab
5. Click the ‘New’ button
6. In the location field enterĀ the desiredĀ URL, for example; http://www.colemanitis.com/clock_16610.html
7. Click ‘OK’ (you’ll need to click OK on all open windows)
That’s it! You can move the window around, resize it, close it, etc..
